LIVEWELL COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER #8

A STRONG START = IMPRESSIVE RESULTS

Congratulations to Guardian Angel Homes in Hermiston, Oregon, our first LiveWell Leader. In just five months, they have reduced falls by more than 100% and staff turnover by 450%!

Before LiveWell, Guardian Angel Homes was spending $23,700 per month on administrative costs associated with falls and staff turnovers. These costs include reporting, monitoring, and documenting falls as well as recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new staff.

After they started using the LiveWell Method, these costs fell to $6,800 per month. At this rate, they will save $203,000 in the coming year on falls and staff turnover alone. Impressive!

How did Guardian Angel Homes accomplish such dramatic results? They invested in their staff by giving them the time to learn and implement the LiveWell Method. They sustain improvement by using what they learned every day. And they are being transparent by sharing their results. Guardian Angel Homes now plans to roll out LiveWell in all of their communities in multiple states.

Would you like to learn how to track the administrative cost of measures such as falls, staff turnover, medication errors, overuse of antipsychotic medications too? Become a LiveWell Leader. Contact Barbara for more information.

“LiveWell makes it simple — I’m overwhelmed and amazed by how they take things that are so complicated and make them simple. People can just walk by the board and see how we are doing. You look at them [the tools] and think, that’s so simple I could have made that. But LiveWell did all that thinking for you.”
